We are looking for a results driven Technical Sales Manager to lead our sales team and develop our sales and marketing strategy.

Reporting to the Directors, this position is responsible for developing, maintaining and expanding sales opportunities and the global profile of RigQuip.

Key responsibilities and accountabilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Work closely with the Directors to create, develop and improve sales and marketing strategy of the business and ensure its implementation
  • Lead all sales activity and manage sales and procurement staff
  • Generate new business and identify potential markets
  • Develop and implement marketing strategy for the company including producing marketing collateral, arranging exhibitions and managing company‚Äôs online presence
  • Prepare and deliver technical sales presentations to customers and vendors
  • Meet existing and potential customers to build relationships: this may involve travel to Europe and the US
  • Identify sales opportunities through market research and search for new clients who might benefit from Company products or services
  • Negotiate and close sales of a wide variety of workshop repair services, drilling parts, drilling equipment, drilling rig packages and associated engineering / project related services
  • Discuss sales and engineering issues with clients, seeking advice from engineering and projects team when necessary
  • Prepare tender documents to secure new contracts
  • Co-ordinate sales opportunities with partner companies
  • Manage and interpret customer requirements, communicating with clients to understand, anticipate and meet their needs
  • Develop and grow long-term relationships with customers
  • Develop and maintain awareness of competitor products regarding price, sales, and customers
  • Maintain and develop good working relationships with all vendors and identify and assess potential vendors in partnership with the procurement team
  • Acquire and develop product, Company and industry knowledge by self-tuition, attending relevant training courses and internal training
  • Provide sales reports to the Board

Requirements:

Education and Training

  • Degree qualification is preferred but candidates with relevant experience will also be considered

Knowledge and Experience

  • Proven track record of sales in any industry but oil and gas preferred
  • Experience in similar position with same level of responsibility
  • Excellent negotiation skills
  • Minimum 10 years sales/marketing experience
